Team South Africa has arrived safely in Cairo, Egypt, for the Cairo 2025 World Boccia Africa Regional Championships, running from 28 July to 3 August 2025. A Confident Start to the Campaign
The team enters this year’s championship with a great deal of momentum, particularly in the BC3 category, where Karabo Morapedi and Elanza Jordaan previously made history by winning gold and qualifying for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games—South Africa’s first-ever qualification in Boccia for the Paralympics.
Training sessions and technical meetings held on Tuesday helped athletes familiarise themselves with the venue and finalise preparations. Today, all focus turns to the opening rounds, as South African athletes take the court and no doubt proudly representing South Africa.
