CP Football action at the 2026 Toyota SASAPD National Championships got off to an exciting start, with three matches played on the opening day in Stellenbosch.
The first match saw the Western Cape take on Gauteng, with Gauteng securing a strong 4–1 victory to open their campaign.
In the second fixture, North West delivered a dominant performance against Eastern Cape, recording a convincing 12–3 win in a high-scoring encounter.
The third match of the day saw Free State edge Western Cape in a closely contested game, finishing 2–1 to round off the day’s play.
With goals flowing and competitive intensity evident across all matches, CP Football has already shown it will be one of the standout codes at this year’s championships.
