2017 SASAPD National Championships for Physically Disabled

Port Elizabeth is a city on Algoa Bay in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province. A major port, it’s also known for its numerous beaches. The Donkin Heritage Trail takes in the Old Hill neighborhood’s Victorian landmarks. Coastal boat tours spot whales and rare seabirds, while wildlife reserves outside the metropolitan area are home to elephants, rhinos and other big game.

The 2017 SASAPD National Championships for the Physically Disabled, will be held in Port Elizabeth from the 31st March until the 4th April 2017. The 2017 SASAPD Nationals is the prime stage for South African Para-athletes to showcase to South Africa what they are made of. It will be the first National Championships after the Rio2016 Paralympic games.

The 2017 SASAPD Nationals is an important championship as athletes will be trying to qualify for both IPC Swimming World Championships which will be held in Mexico City, while the IPC Athletics World Championships will be held in London.

SASAPD would like to wish the Port Elizabeth LOC the best of luck in your planning, and we know it will be competition to remember. To all the athletes, we look forward to seeing you all there.
